I am a Ugandan psychiatrist, a lecturer at Makerere University, a public speaker and an author. I hail from the Northern Uganda district of Gulu. I am a multi-skilled person – a mental health advocate; a regular writer in Uganda’s leading newspapers; a storyteller; a sportsman; and a Master of Ceremonies at functions. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Makerere University, and my research interests are in the areas of substance use and HIV, especially among young people. My interests include: reading, rugby, travel, bonding with people, and growing both vulnerable indigenous trees of Northern Uganda and rare tropical fruits.
