Laurent Francioli

Laurent Francioli is a Swiss postdoctoral research fellow in Daniel MacArthur’s lab at Massachusetts General Hospital and the Broad Institute. He has a Master’s degree in computer science from the Swiss Institute of Technology in Lausanne (Switzerland) and a doctorate in genetics from the University of Utrecht (the Netherlands). Laurent’s work focuses on leveraging large-scale sequencing data to study mutation rates and selection patterns. Notably, he studied de novo mutations in large number of parent-offspring trios from the Genome of the Netherlands project and is now the lead analyst on the genomes in the Genome Aggregation Database (gnomAD).
